We ate there last night. I had not visited for at least 4 years. The food was very good, much better than it used to be. anyone who visits down in Bonita often knows it is hard to find good Italian food, but this is really good. Service is somewhat spotty (took wine glass and didnt ask I i wanted another), but normal for Bonita

Upscale casual Italian. Although I think the quality has gone down a bit in recent years, the food here is still simple, traditional, and tasty. If you don't mind the strip center setting, and tables stacked on top of one another in a small area, your taste buds will comply. What I had: snapper special Best bet: go for a 2 for 1 or other special to try it out

Even with a buy one get one free coupon, close to $100 (did order one of the least expensive bottles of wine) without appetizer or dessert. Food was ok, tasty but portion on smaller side. Decent menu and wine list. Older crowd, quiet, nice ambiance and white tablecloth. Good service. May come back but not at top of my list. Visited late October, snow birds hadn't arrived yet so not too crowded.

Probably the best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at. Nothing else compares to the taste and texture of the food. The seafood is to die for if its on the chefs special menu. The linguini pescatori is the best seafood meal you'll ever have. All the food is perfectly cooked and never overcooked. Mo is the resturaunt owner and his wife is the host and there's nobody as sweet as her. The average bill for a party of 2 is 60 dollars.. But its money well spent. For desert male sure you get the rice pudding, best you'll ever have. Yet you must have reservations during busy season which is December to May. I give this place 2 thumbs up!

Best Italian restaurant on the east coast! Anytime I'm in Naples, La Fontanella is my first stop. Amazing food and outstanding service. Highly recommended!

My favorite Italian restaurant in town! The service is incredible and food is beyond that. Food just melts in your mouth! Family owned and a warm friendly environment. They are there to please!

Blah. This place is a disgrace to Italian. Food- For an appetizer we started out with the fried mozzarella which was actually quite good. The one problem with this place is the menu. Every pasta dish is loaded with all kinds of veggies and seafoods. They need a simpler menu. I could not make a decision so I regretfully got the "veal special." I didn't even know what was in it since the waiter said it so fast, but it sounded better than anything on the menu. It came to the table in a SMOTHERED in a mushroom sauce.(basically just Campbell's cream of mushroom soup) the veal was like a car tire. My dad got the same thing and his was also a rubbery mess. It came with this like fried ball of pasta that was decent but not necessary and didn't really fit in with the dish. Service- Friendly and great. One star for service and one star for fried mozzarella.

Great service . Warm baskets of bread and some of the best Italian I have had in awhile! The bruschetta was really good . We also tried a spinach and egg drop soup also good. I had the bolognese and I was only sorry I couldn't eat more. If I lived here this is the kind of place I would visit weekly.

It's a totally serviceable meal, but I don't share my parents' enthusiasm for this Italian resto in an strip mall--which, by the way, seems to be a totally normal way to eat fancy meals in Florida. Pastas are good, but they aren't reinventing the wheel here, nor are they with their meats and fish, which remain as dated, but fortunately still shine. The osso bucco is tender and hefty and would be the go-to dish for serious eaters, and plenty of fish specials show off the best of Florida, though the kitchen can sometimes get a little exuberant with sauces that drown out the beauty and taste of locally caught seafood. If that's your interest, you'll have a fine, though not mind-boggling meal. Not that it needs to be--La Fontanella is a nice enough setting to gather with friends and family, but not breathtaking in any way.

The best in the area. Prices compare with other top notch restaurants. Mo, the proprietor, is a very warm host. Service is as good as you get in any city. Wife and I go there several times a year ( especially if someone else is picking up the tab). A good value.

We ate here while on vacation and it was probably the best meal we had the whole week. I had the shrimp linguine and my husband had the steak feri which consisted of peppers, onions and red potatoes. Both dishes were great. The service was great and the atmosphere inviting. I'd recommend it to anyone.

This place is not worth the review. The food is horribly over priced. I ordered the Black Grouper, which was $31. It came with a white wine sauce and some type of mashed up pasta made to look like a crab cake. My grouper had been cut to check for doneness. Living in Fl, I've had plenty of seafood. This was by the far the worst fish meal I've ever had. To pay $31 for a 8oz piece of dry Grouper is unacceptable. Even the house salad looked store bought. I would rather spend that money at Roy's, Chops or Capital Grill.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
